In Development: New App Settings Screen
Hi iFormBuilder Community,
Earlier this year we introduced a new sign-in screen that follows modern app standards of logging in and logging out of the application. Currently, in the settings screen, you are able to modify your username and password. This is not the behavior we want to utilize moving forward so in an upcoming release we are going to be turning off the ability to change your username/password from inside the settings screen. Instead, users will be able to logout from the settings screen which will push you to the new login screen to login with a new user.
Please follow this community post for updates.

Hi Jon and Vinod,
This new settings screen will not be removing the username from the settings screen it will just not allow you to change your username and password directly from the settings screen. The settings screen will be getting a revamped User Interface with more logical groupings and some consolidated options. But I this is a great addition to the settings screen to have Profile ID, Profile Name and Server Name listed. I see this could help Company admins as well as troubleshooting when submitting requests to our support team. Below is a mockup we have put together of what the new settings screen style would look like. I have also added when you select the info icon it shows the Server and Profile Details.

I like the idea of being able to quickly log into a different profile and know which profile I am currently using as a developer.
I had a though though. What if we have 20 mobile users and we have a client that wants a separate profile and admin access to their data. We then need to create 20 additional users/login so our 20 mobile user can switch to that profile when collecting data. If I understand this correctly it means we would have 40 unique users and might have to purchase a larger number of licenses?

Glad to hear this will be helpful having this information more accessible should make things easier.
In regards to the users wanting to work across a profile I would recommend that you utilize Form Sharing so they do not have to switch between profiles and/or purchase more users. https://iformbuilder.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201698500-How-do-I-share-forms-between-my-profiles-
Thanks,

Hmm, seems like an opportunity for development there? If the data shared across profiles then we could have multiple profiles collecting data and have it all stored in one database. That might allow us to create many new users from other companies performing the same inspections over a large regional or national area. This would standardize the inspection process for the client while simplifying the API set up because they only need to access one database for assignment and post inspection results.
