More control on the tablets once records are downloaded

At the moment, once a record is downloaded onto the device. The administrator has no control over the portal. 

 

This is very inconvenience for situations when there are a lot of interactions between the end user and the admin. 

 

Examples of controls are:

• Remote delete a record from the device
• Lock down subform records deletion
• Order of records on the list view

 

As a suggestion, it would be nice if these features can be controlled via a Reference ID.

  Hi Alan, just wanted you to know that you can control the order of the list view using the SORTFIELD reference ID.

  Also, any subform records not made by the user on that device are not allowed to be deleted (any record that was assigned down from the server).

  The delete idea is interesting, and would be something to think through when users are offline and unable to receive any commands from the server.

  Hi Tony,

   

  Sorry that I wasn't clear. I meant allow the user to mark and remember where they were on the list when they have > 100 records on the device.

   

  It is good to know the point that you mentioned about the subform record. That will help my situation immediately. Thanks for it!
