if I put the database name of an element into its dynamic value it will force subsequent records (when creating new records) to default to the last entered value - which is very useful for certain elements where I want to carry forward that value for subsequent records unless it is changed.

I know this is a undocumented feature (considered a hack) however I would like this capability to be incorporated as part of the design, for instance a referenced of "Repeatlastvalue" at element level (or similar)

Currently this method of using the database element name works but not for a multiselect (causes iForm to crash). I would like to have this capability for multiselect as well.

I don't want to duplicate the whole record.

Having this capability saves time when entering records where one or more elements doesn't change frequently. For example recording defects in a building - where we have a floor/level for instance - we may record 50 defects on the same floor and I don't want to have to select floor every time, only when we move to a different floor.
