We are planning to add this to the platform in Q4 of 2014 and will make sure to update this post once the feature is released.

I agree. I found myself syncing accidentally when scrolling up the record view.

an accidental sync in a subfoirm will crash the program. I support making the sync feature inactive until the user has saved and exited the parent form.

Hi All, great conversation here. What do you think about a toggle switch where the Auto-Sync, Sync on Start options are to enable / disable this action?

In regards to the crash when syncing on the subform separate table view, this has been addressed in the iForm 6.2 client that is available on the App Store.

If it can't be prevented until exiting the parent form then yes it should have a toggle in the App settings for customization. We use Save/Done to determine if a form can be synced or not so the toggle would allow maximum flexibility for those less knowledgeable on how to control accidental syncing.

There are some cases where we only want to sync when the user specifically hits the sync button. Auto-Sync = Off, Sunc on Start = Off and Pull down to refresh = Off.
