Ability to Lookup an Image
CompletedI would like to see the ability to lookup an image using Smart Table Search! It would be great if images were supported for verification purposes instead of just plain text.
Thanks!

"Hi Jonathan, The situation is we have created a form for tracking snow removal on our solar farms. When the user starts filling out the form, they input the site name and that automatically populates a bunch of other elements, like the site address, and the city. We would like to also have it automatically populate a drawing element so the user can draw on the map specific to the farm where they are removing snow. We want them to be able to circle which areas of the farm they have removed snow from. So that means the map needs to be specific to the site. Right now we are just testing it with four solar farm sites, but there are dozens of others that we manage. I had unexpected success with this on the Android, but unfortunately it sounds like most of the technicians who will be doing this work are on iPhone and it isn't working for them. It may be worth us trying to use links to our Dropbox account where the farm map images are stored. I'm not married to any one solution, so I'm happy to explore alternative suggestions. Thanks for the response! Patrick " - Patrick Cieslar

We would also like this.
User case: Having multiple client logos for reports. Then based on client selected from pick list have the corresponding client logo looked up from table and inserted into field so this can be output to our webmerge report template.
Seems like this has been requested for a many years. Would be great to see some development on this.

Hi Lucas, dataflow automation is a good solution for your the use case you just described as well. The images don’t have to be on the device to end up in your final output and there are a few advantages of not putting images on the device.
By doing the image placement after upload you can change the image or add a new one without having anyone sync and get the latest form definition.
Make sure to bring this up to Mark as well when you guys talk.
Hope that helps,

Hey Folks.
The ability to lookup Images and Drawings is now available in WebForms and Android and will be coming soon on iOS.
Feel free to share any feedback and use cases below and be sure to enjoy the new functionality!
