We are planning to add this to the platform in Q4 of 2014 and will make sure to update this post once the feature is released.

The location widget will be updated with an option to drop a point (similar to the functionality you see when using the ESRI widget)

I think, it will be a very useful feature & save lot of time when entering full address.

I would like to see a similar feature where the geocoding info generated from the device is used to create a small thumbnail type Google map (the same size as other images) and then being able to place this map in the report output.

Can't wait to see this functionality. We have several projects planned around this. Thanks!

Hi, I'm just wondering if this "drop a pin" functionality is currently available, and if so is there an articale on it?

    Hello Folks!

We have just introduced this feature on the iOS application here in our latest release. Here is the link to our release notes that shows this feature in action and how to enable using the element level reference ID LOCATION_CHANGE_ENABLED. We have done this as some users may not want the location element data to move while others may want to give users this flexibility.

    Enjoy!
