Inline editing of Text and Number Fields

This has already been proposed by Rebekah Stevens back in September 02, 2016 11:52 but it did not gain any traction so I am putting it out there again.

Rather than having a new window or "page" pop up for editing number and text fields it would be much better if you could add or edit data directly into the field. This would make a huge difference in our data collection speeds.

  Hi Lea and Rebekah,

  I agree this would be helpful and a speed enhancement but we have introduced a feature that is meant to make moving from 1 element to the next much faster by including a next button. When you are in text or number fields at the top of the keyboard you will see a next button. (screenshot in the bottom left)

  This currently is only available in iOS at the moment.

  We have used this feature but find it only useful if you are moving from one number/text field to another and if you have them interspersed amongst select fields it really doesn't improve the speed much. Still think having the entry on the same screen as the fields would save way more time than even the "tab" buttons.
