What is the Drawing element?

The Drawing element allows you to draw an image as well as annotate an image taken with your device's camera or uploaded from the device's library. 

PLEASE NOTE: This feature is only available for use with the new enhanced drawing element.

How do I add custom icons to my drawing element?

With the new drawing element, you can now add a custom icons for your users. Below are instructions on how to do so.

STEP 1. From inside the form builder, click the Drawing icon from the left-hand menu. You'll see it populate the device view.

STEP 2. On the right-hand side, you'll see the element properties. Enter the name of your element.  

PLEASE NOTE: If you check the Based on Label option, it will create a data column based on the Label on the element.

STEP 3. Scroll down on the right-hand side to the Element Properties section and click on Dynamic Attributes.

STEP 4. Select Custom Icons.

STEP 5. Click on the Select Icons button.

STEP 6. The custom icons pop-up screen will appear. Click on the +Upload Icon button to select your new icon images.

STEP 7. Once you've selected the icons from your folder, the images will appear in the Custom Icons section.

STEP 8. To add icons to show as options in the drawing element, make sure to click on all the Standard Icons and/or Custom Icons. It will highlight with a green border for your selections. Click Save.

STEP 9. Your selected icons will appear in the Dynamic Attributes section.

STEP 10. Save your form.

STEP 11.  Sync your device and open up the drawing element.

STEP 12.  Click on the Icons Tool and you will see all the icons you selected and saved in Form Builder.

How do I remove a custom icon?

Follow the same steps above to open up the custom icon pop-up screen. You can de-select the custom icons you do not want shown in the drawing element and hit save. Then save the form.

DELETING A CUSTOM ICON (ALL FORMS)

You can also delete custom icons from the profile (all forms that are using it), you can follow the steps below:

STEP 1. Hover over the custom icon you want to delete and a trashcan icon will appear at the bottom-right corner of the image. Click the trashcan icon.

STEP 2. A prompt will appear with the Warning: By checking this, I fully understand that this action will delete this icon from all the forms where it's being used. Please be aware this will delete the icon(s) from all forms using it. Click the checkbox and hit Confirm.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot delete Standard Icons.

STEP 3. Click Save. Then save the form.
