What is happening with the Zoho Reports Connection?

Zoho Analytics is removing the method of authentication that our Dataflow Automation product uses to integrate with Zoho Analytics. Moving forward we are making provisions to support this new Oauth2 Authentication with Zoho Analytics

How do I migrate my existing Zoho Connection to the new Oauth2 Authentication?

STEP 1. From your browser, enter https://api-console.zoho.com and login with your credentials. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you are on a different Data Center in Zoho than the US one please refer to this article for your Zoho API console link. 

STEP 2. Select the Server-based Applications option.

STEP 3. You will be presented with another screen to enter your App information. Enter the following information:

• Client Name can be named anything you like.
• The homepage URL should be: https://dataflownode.zerionsoftware.com
• Authorized Redirect URI should be: https://dataflownode.zerionsoftware.com/zws/v1.0/domain/<serverid>/connections/oauth2

PLEASE NOTE: To obtain your serverid, click on your username in the upper right-hand corner inside the Dataflow Automation interface. It will be listed under your username as shown below.

After you enter all the information, click Create.

You should now have your Client ID and Secret. These two values will be used in the new Zoho OAuth2 Connection in DFA.

PLEASE NOTE: If the Zoho account is being used in a different Data Center than the US you will need to click Settings and then select the Multi-DC check box and then select the region where your Zoho account is hosted.

Next, we will navigate over to the Dataflow Automation Section.

STEP 4. After logging into DFA, open up the Connections Screen.

STEP 5. You will be brought to your list of Connections. Search for your Zoho Connection and edit that connection.

There are several changes to the Zoho Connection. Please refer to the Attention section for details of the changes.  

STEP 6. Select your Zoho Data Center (most of the fields will be automatically filled).

STEP 7. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret that was created earlier in Zoho.

For the Scope section, this is how Zoho controls “permissions” of their API access. DFA Zoho Action requires at least the ZohoAnalytics.metadata.read and ZohoAnalytics.data.[create/update/delete or all]. By default, we set it to all for the ZohoAnalytics.data. You can modify it to your needs.

STEP 8. When you click save, it will ask you to log in to Zoho to accept this authorization. Enter your login credentials.

STEP 9. Click Accept to complete the approval process and the DFA Connection should get the Access Token/Refresh token at that point.  

The DFA Zoho OAuth2 connection should now be ready to use.
