What is a Read-Only element?
The Read-Only element will allow a user to see data in this field but not manipulate it. It's great for passing data from other elements, performing calculations and more.
How do I add a Read-Only element to my form?
To add a Read-Only element to your form, please follow the instructions below. In this example, we will be populating static text in the read-only element.
STEP 1. With your form loaded in the Form Builder, click the Read Only icon from the left-hand menu.
STEP 2. On the right-hand side, you'll see the element properties. Enter the name of your element.
PLEASE NOTE: If you check the Based on Label option, it will create a data column based on the Label on the element.
STEP 3. In the dynamic value of the Read-Only element, add in the static text string "This is for viewing only"
STEP 4. Save your form.
STEP 5. View it on your device. You should not be able to edit this field.
