What is the Lookup element?
The Lookup element allows you to perform a local search on a specified data table and auto-populate fields based on this search. Have a look at this short video overview.
How do I create a data table to use as a lookup?
When using the Lookup element you must create a form which contains the actual lookup data being pulled into the main form. To create this form, please follow the instructions below.
STEP 1. From the Admin Portal, hover over the Forms tab and select Form Builder.
STEP 2. Click the +Create Form button in the upper right-hand corner.
STEP 3. Give your form a name. We recommend the best practice of using the parent form's name and adding "db" to the end of it to better understand the two form's relationship.
You can also add a description and form icon if you like.
STEP 4. Click Create.
STEP 5. Add the elements to the form which you'll be populating with data.
STEP 6. Save your form.
STEP 7. Populate your table with data. This can be done in a variety of ways:
STEP 8. Once you've populated the table, we'll now need to add this table to our main form.
Please click here to build out the parent form and link this data table.
