What is metadata?

Metadata is information automatically captured in the background by your device. Data such as CREATED_DY, CREATED_DATE, CREATED_LOCATION and more are all recorded and can be accessed via any of the iFormBuilder Data Feeds.

How can I see when a record was uploaded to the server?

The SERVER_MODIFIED_DATE info is captured automatically on the user's device through the metadata. To see when a record was uploaded to the server, please follow the instructions below.

PLEASE NOTE: If a record is modified after being uploaded to the server, that date will be reflected in the SERVER_MODIFIED_DATE field.

STEP 1. From your admin portal, access the Data tab.

STEP 2. Highlight the form for which you'd like to know when the record was created.

STEP 3. Click on any of the Data Feeds.

The following is a sample of the JSON Feed. You'll see the SERVER_MODIFIED_DATE field.
