What is an Option List?

An option list is just what it sounds like; a list of options the user can choose from when collecting data.

How do I create an Option List with CSV Upload?

To create an Option List with CSV Upload, follow the instructions below.

Please Note: When choosing a CSV file please make sure the file is 800 kb or smaller.

STEP 1. From inside the iFormBuilder admin portal, hover over the Forms tab and select Form Builder.

STEP 2. Click the Option Lists button.

STEP 3. Click + Create List.

STEP 4. Name you Option List.

PLEASE NOTE: If you want to add icons to the options in the Option List, put in your URL in the Option Icons field. If you plan to segment your Option List, put OPTIONLISTTYPE_SEGMENTED_LIST in the Reference ID field.

STEP 5. Click the Upload Options icon.

STEP 6. Click the CSV Upload tab.

STEP 7. Click Choose File and select the CSV file you're using to create the Option List.

PLEASE NOTE: If you need an example of the CSV format, click Download Example to use as a guide.

The empty and replace current options will delete any options you currently have in the Option List and replace them with your latest options. 

STEP 8. Click Upload.

Your Option List is created.

How do I create an Option List with CSV Upload Localization?

Follow the same steps as above, but download the sample with localization instead in step 7. This sample will have country codes in the columns of the CSV file.

At the bottom, you will see a list of languages and their associated country codes.  Following the sample, update the country codes and localization to your needs.

Once that is done, upload the CSV file like you normally would in Step 8.
