Form Packages
WHAT ARE FORM PACKAGES?
Form packages promote sharing your forms with colleagues and others in your industry. These packages can include one to many forms that contain all the dependencies needed to make them function. For a quick overview have a look at the video below.
To Build a form package, please follow the instructions below.
STEP 1: Hover over the Forms tab (A) and select Package Builder (B).
STEP 2: Enter a name (A) and a description (B). The two fields are required.
STEP 3: Select the form or forms (A), and the choose the components you wish to include in the package (B).
STEP 4: Choose your publish method form the options below and then click "Create Package"
PLEASE NOTE: Only Server Admins will see the Private and Public options.
Download: The package will be saved locally to your computer.
Private: The package will be uploaded to iFormBuilder storage, and will be made available to the profiles you select (shared profiles).
Public: The package will be uploaded to iFormBuilder storage, and will be made available to anyone you share the link with.
STEP 5: While the package is being created will see an activity indicator on the left side of the screen will show. Once complete the icon will turn green, you can hover over the icon to show more information.
A) Package is building
B) Download option complete
C) Public option complete (Copy and share the URL with anyone)
D) Private option complete (Package has been shared with selected profiles)
IMPORTING A PACKAGE
To Import a form package, please follow the instructions below.
STEP 1: Hover over the Forms tab (A) and select Package Import (B).
STEP 2: Choose your method of import. There will be three options available as shown below.
A) Local File: Upload a package file that is saved locally on your computer
B) URL: Paste a public link that was shared with you.
C) Shared Package: Select from a list of forms that has been shared to your specific profile.
STEP 3: Enter you email address to be notified via e-mail when the import is complete.
PLEASE NOTE: Depending on the package size, the import process may take several minutes.
STEP 4: Choose your conflict mode preferences to determine how to deal with resources in your account which have the same name as those in the package.
FORMS
- Skip(default): This will skip any forms in the package that have the same name as forms already on your account.
- Keep Both: This will create all of the forms in the package and append "_1" to the name of the new forms that had a naming conflict with existing.
OPTION LISTS
- Skip(default): This will skip any option lists in the package that have the same name as lists already on your account.
- Keep Both: This will create all of the option lists in the package and append "_1" to the name of the new lists that had a naming conflict with existing.
STEP 5: Click Import and grab a coffee while the package goes through the import process.
MANAGING PACKAGES
To Manage existing package, please follow the instructions below.
PLEASE NOTE: This is only available to customers with dedicated databases. Also, only Server Admins will have access to this page.
STEP 1: Hover over the Forms tab (A) and select Manage Packages (B).
STEP 2: You will see a list of all the packages that have been published on your account. You may delete any of these packages by highlighting them and clicking the Delete button. To quickly jump to the Package Builder you can click the New button.
Error Messages
Selecting Forms
A) An subform field that links to a form that has been deleted (link a new form to this element(s)).
Building
A) An option list based field that doesn't have an option list linked to it (assign a list to this element(s)).
B) An option list based field that links to an option list that has been deleted (link a new list to this element(s)).
C) An attachment widget that does not reference anything (add an attachment reference on this element(s)).
Importing from file
A) You attempted to upload an invalid file type (make sure the file extension and type are application/json).

Great features but it won't include the endpoints.
Hi Ray, the packages do include the endpoints for POST data.
