ABOUT THE LIVA THUNDERPLUG & ACCESSORIES
The LIVA ThunderPlug is an appliance that creates a local area network running the iFormBuilder server and acts as a hub for up to 20 devices to simultaneously sync and manage data within that network.
Robust data can be captured online and off the grid. For teams in ultra-disconnected environments, iFormBuilder suggests the ThunderPlug®. Using the optional USB Encryption Locking hardware, allows the sever to be booted up ONLY when the hardware key is present. In turn, making the data on the plug secure if stolen or misplaced.
To assist you in setting up your LIVA ThunderPlug, iFormBuilder Agents will preload your LIVA ThunderPlug with the profile of your choice before sending it out to you. You will use the same username and password that you are currently using with iFormbuilder cloud.
**It is important that you follow the steps in order when setting up your LIVA ThunderPlug. Performing any steps out of order may cause the LIVA ThunderPlug to not work properly. **

FAQ
What mechanisms are used to secure communications with plug/cloud sync?
We use an SSL connection between the device and the plug, and between plug and the cloud for creating a secure XMLRPC communication.
What happens if one of the iPad accounts includes a NEW form (from the cloud database) which the plug isn’t aware of?
The iPad will display errors during the data collection, so please make sure iPad is synced with the plug before collecting data for the plug.
What happens if someone deletes or changes the sync user for the plug on the cloud database side? How will this affect the plug?
In this scenario the plug will not be able to sync the data to the cloud until the user is restored on the cloud, however the plug will continue to function correctly for device collecting data on it.
Does the plug itself ever need to be re-configured or updated in any way to maintain its link with cloud? If so, will this be done automatically via the network or will customer need to initiate the update?
The Cloud Sync process will bring the latest metadata and source code down to the plug each time a full sync is performed, so customers do not have to take any additional steps to maintain the plug.
If the plug ever stops working or gets corrupted in some fashion, what are the steps to correct?
You need to contact iFormBuilder support in this scenario (support@iformbuilder.zendesk.com).
