What is Socket Mobile?
Socket Mobile has partnered with iFormBuilder, making scanning of 2D and 1D barcodes efficient and easy. The Series 7 Bluetooth Scanner comes in both 1D and 2D models.

How do I scan barcodes using an Android Device?
When using an Android device, you will need to take different steps in order to get the scanned value to show. You can use the same form and everything, but the process is different:
STEP 1. Once you pair the socket scanner to your Android device, you want to use the socket scanner and scan the following barcode in red:
What this is doing is changing the settings to HID-Keyboard mode. The socket scanner can scan data into an element like a bluetooth keyboard in HID mode.
STEP 2. Next, on the Android device, you'll see that the bluetooth connection with the socket scanner turn into a keyboard symbol. If it is not paired as a keyboard symbol, please disconnect and try connecting to the scanner again:
STEP 3. Now, go to your iFormBuilder app, and click on the form with the socket scanner element (Scanned Text):
STEP 4. Click on the Text element and make sure the cursor is active, as if ready to type:
STEP 5. While in the text element, with the cursor active in the field, scan a barcode with your socket scanner. Right after you scan, the values will show up in the text element. You can click done and then save/submit your form.
