Can I collect data while disconnected?

The simple answer is...YES! iFormBuilder allows you to collect data while being in a disconnected area so no internet connection is needed for the collection part.  Now in order to upload that collected data to the server, you must connect to the device to the internet. The collected data will remain on the device until you have successfully uploaded to the server.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to collect data offline, the user must first download all forms to their device while connected.  Once the forms have been downloaded to the device, the user can collect records while disconnected.

iFORM TIP: If collecting data in an offline environment, switch off the Sync on Start and Auto Sync settings so the user can manually sync once connected. 

STEP 1. Select the form you want to collect data for.

STEP 2. Fill out of the record and click Done.

STEP 3. You will be taken to the record view, where you will see the Hourglass Icon next to the completed record. This indicates the record is ready for upload once the user is connected to the internet.

Once you have WiFi or data coverage, your users can sync the device and the records will be uploaded to the server.
