UPDATE: A new version of the app has been released to the Google Play Store. Please download the latest version to avoid further issues.
Hi, everyone
An issue has been reported concerning the latest version of the Android iForm app (7.2.1.473).
There is a potential data loss issue affecting media files (images, signatures, drawings, audio). A few users have reported that media files are not showing on the server once the records have synced. We are working diligently to identify the bug and fix it as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, here are suggestions for minimizing the loss of the media.
- If possible, store the records on the device until a fix has been uploaded to the Google Play Store.
- If you will be syncing your records, please turn off the Delete on Upload setting. This will keep a copy of the record on the device in case media is not stored on the server after sync. Click here for instructions on how to adjust the Delete on Upload setting.
- After syncing, monitor the server to ensure the media has gotten to the server. If it hasn’t please report it to us by sending an email to support@zerionsoftware.com.
PLEASE NOTE: This appears to be more prevalent in a poor connection scenario. Please take that into consideration before syncing.
We apologize for this inconvenience and we will continue to work until it is resolved. We will update this article in the comments section with information as we have it.
Sincerely,
The Zerion Support Team
