Form Builder Release Notes
Release Date: 7.19.2017
Enhancements
- Option List key values now default to database friendly characters, meaning any special characters (commas, spaces, etc) will be converted to underscores. For flexibility, these key values can be overwritten if you would like to change key values to non-database friendly columns. However, this can affect the ability to view your data within the Data Views so please consider before doing so.
PLEASE NOTE: Existing key values will not be affected.
- To increase the Form Builder's performance, users will only be able to view forms that they've built. Server and Company Admins will still be able to see all forms withing the builder.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Sort Order would not update on the screen when adding options to an Option List.
- Fixed an issue where you could not re-order elements and then save them.

When using the raw upload functionality the key values created are still in database unfriendly format. This means you have to manually change them and can result in different formats of key values.
Can you fix this so that key values generated from raw uploads are created in database friendly format so that there is consistency?
Thanks
HI Ciaran,
Thanks for pointing this out. We do have this logged and are planning on putting it into a future release to make things consistent. In the meantime, I would recommend using the csv upload option list feature. https://iformbuilder.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/214589043-How-do-I-use-CSV-Upload-to-create-and-Option-List- This way you can specify what your Label and Key value should be.
In excel you can write a substitute functions that will allow you to remove the spaces and special characters and replace them with underscores instead of doing each one manually. Please have a look at his link on how to use substitute. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/SUBSTITUTE-function-6434944e-a904-4336-a9b0-1e58df3bc332
Thanks,
Ben
