Dataflow Automation
Starting March 22, 2017, you and your team will be able to share the Dataflows you've created for better collaboration. The below article will cover how to do so.
PLEASE NOTE: If a user has permission to edit and delete dataflows, they will be able to perform these actions on any shared dataflow. To share a dataflow and deny these actions, an updated policy will need to be created in ZIM

What are the benefits of sharing a Dataflow?
Sharing a Dataflow allows members of your team to work on the same Dataflow. It is also a useful tool for allowing the Zerion support team to help troubleshoot issues with a particular Dataflow and to detect/debug a troublesome Dataflow.
How do I share a Dataflow I created?
To share a Dataflow, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1
From the Zerion Console, select Dataflow Automation.
Step 2
Under the Dataflow drop-down, click Load Dataflow.
Step 3
On the next screen, from the Dataflow drop-down, select Share Dataflow.
Step 4
Choose the users with which you want to share the Dataflow.
Step 5
Scroll down and click Share.
Step 6
When the user whom you shared the Dataflow with goes to his or hers Dataflow landing page, they will see the shared Dataflow in the Permitted Dataflows table. The shared Dataflow will be labeled with the Confirm Access action. By clicking Confirm Access, the user can now access the shared Dataflow.
How do I request access to a Dataflow?
Another way to share a Dataflow is to request a Dataflow from another user in the company. To do so, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1
From the Dataflow Automation landing page, you'll see a list of Dataflows under the Permitted Dataflows section.
Step 2
To obtain access, click the Request Access button.
Once requested, you'll see the pending request status.
Step 3
Once the user has granted access to the Dataflow, you will see the status has changed from Pending Request to Confirm Access.
Click Confirm Access.
How do I grant access to a requested Dataflow?
As shown above, another user in your company can request access to your Dataflow. To grant access for the request, please follow the instructions below.
Step 1
From the Dataflow Automation landing page, select Load Dataflow from the Dataflow drop-down.
Step 2
If a user has requested access to a Dataflow, you will see a yellow icon.
Click the icon.
Step 3
Select the Request Access tab.
Step 4
Choose when you would like the access to expire. If you don't want it to expire, select None.
Step 5
Click Approve.
How do I restrict users from deleting a shared Dataflow?
If a user has permission to edit and delete Dataflows, they will be able to perform these actions on any shared dataflow. For instructions on how to restrict this permission, click HERE.
